One class at Lithia Springs Elementary in Valrico, Florida, recently traded their stationary classroom furniture for 22 LearnFit® Sit-Stand Desks thanks to Ergotron and the Dairy Council of Florida. Tampa Bay Buccaneers National Football League cheerleaders and mascot Captain Fear were on hand to celebrate.
“Kids love them,” Principal Kevin Martin said about the mobile sit-stand desks. “It does keep them on their feet and makes them move around during class.”
The benefits come as no surprise to Betsey Banker, CWWS, CWWPM, Ergotron’s Wellness Market Manager.
“Movement is linked with learning and these desks allow kids to introduce moment into the classroom in a way that’s not disruptive,” she said.
